Slag is a vitreous material formed when molten slag from blast furnace ironmaking is rapidly cooled without having time to crystallize. After being finely ground, slag becomes an active blending material for cement.
The Slag Vertical Roller Mil integrates grinding, drying, powder selection, conveying, and collection into one system. With a rational overall structure, professional technology, simple control, easy operation, stable and reliable performance, and convenient maintenance, its main technical and economic indicators have reached an advanced professional level.

The slag material is fed to the center of the grinding table through the feeding pipe. The grinding table rotates at a constant speed, and under the action of centrifugal force, the raw material is uniformly dispersed and spread outward, forming a material bed of a certain thickness. The slag material is simultaneously crushed by the rolling of multiple grinding rollers on the table.
Driven by continuous centrifugal force, the slag material moves toward the outer edge of the grinding table. As the material leaves the table, it encounters hot gas entering the mill through the wind ring, rising with it. The material then passes through the central casing of the mill into the powder separator. During this process, the fine slag powder material fully exchanges heat with the hot gas, resulting in rapid evaporation of moisture.
The powder separator controls the fineness of the product at the roller mill’s outlet. Particles larger than the specified size are separated and fall back onto the grinding table, while materials meeting the fineness requirements pass through the powder separator and enter the finished product silo.
